Serena Crocheted Capelet and Collarlet Patterns

I don’t know about you, but as soon as Christmas is over I’m ready for the weather to warm up! Here in Texas, the weather can be warm one day and we might have ice the next.

Even though warmer weather may not be here yet in most parts of the US, we can get ready with this pretty crocheted capelet design. I’ve also added a lovely little collaret version.

This versatile design can be finished and worn in a variety of ways. Worked in rows, both the capelet and collaret can be closed with a button or with a button combined with the elegant and easy little crocheted rosebud. Button to the side, in center front or in center back. If desired, collarlet may be sewn to a purchased garment, taking laundering or cleaning requirements of yarn and garment into consideration.

Another option for either collaret or capelet is to weave a silk ribbon or long crocheted chain through the spaces between the foundation row and row 1; tie in center front. Garments may also be held closed with a brooch. I hope you enjoy!
