Putting All Circle Dance Patterns in One Post

Sorry to keep moving things around. I've had a request to put all the square patterns into one blog post, which I thought was a fine idea, so I've placed all the patterns so far into this post:

When I add the 2" and 6" patterns, I'll add them to this same post.

  3. I just made my first 4" square, with an I hook. My gauge is usually pretty true - I've been crocheting for many years. I'm using Caron Simply Soft - as I have a ton of it to use up. But my 4" square only measures 3'. Do you think that that will be OK, as the other squares will be smaller too? I'm wondering if everything will be proportionately smaller. What do you think, Carolyn?

    1. Hi Dexter's mom-- I think adding an extra round of sc or even half double crochet or double crochet with (2 sts, ch 2, 2 sts) in each corner may bring it to 4". I'd hate to say that it would work out leaving it 3" and depending on all the other squares to be proportionally smaller. It would probably work but I don't know for sure. Getting them all to the measurements needed is a safer bet. I know someone else working with Simply Soft and her gauge is a bit smaller too-- I think Simply Soft is a bit smaller than the yarn I used so that could account for the differences. I'd personally rather add rounds than use a larger hook. Hope this is helpful!
